PDF cross stich chart

Charles Darwin and Richard Owen were friendly as young biologists, but fell out bitterly over Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection.

Richard Owen was the leading anatomist of his day, famous for being the first director of the Natural History Museum, and for coining the term dinosaur. He was also notorious in scientific circles for his vicious and deceitful attacks on his scientific rivals including Robert Grant, Gideon Mantell, Joseph Hooker, Thomas Huxley and Charles Darwin.

The model is stitched on 32 count Midnight Ride by XJu Designs in DMC 4240 floss, but would work in whatever colourway you fancy. I’d suggest 2 skeins of your chosen floss to complete the design on 14/16 count aida or 28/32 count linen or evenweave
